Your Impact:

Jacobs is seeking a Java Developer with 1-3 years of experience in developing JavaScript and J2EE applications.

Successful candidate will design, develop and implement web-based Java applications to support business requirements. Follow approved Agile life cycle methodologies, create design documents & perform program coding. Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Interpret data, analyze results and provide ongoing reports. Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources; identify, analyze, and interpret data sets and document recommendations.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • 1+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree is required. Commensurate experience for education.
  • Strong knowledge of Core Java. Experience with Spring or other MVC framework
  • Experience with web services (RESTful, SOAP)
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, and experience with common JavaScript frameworks (Ember, Angular)
  • Experience with writing basic SQL queries in Sybase, Oracle
  • Experience with databases including Stored Procedures, DML and DDL tasks
  • Experience with source control management (SVN, Git)
  • Experience with build automation (Jenkins, Hudson)

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Apache Tomcat or any other application servers
  • Experience working with in an Agile development environment
  • Experience with JIRA
